Flight simulator graphics and features have come a long way in the last year. One of the biggest improvements you can make to your simulator experience right away is the addition of EZCA.

For more information on EZCA, see THIS POST on what it is and how to use it.

Here you can find the files needed, and the video setup needed to get EZCA installed in your PMDG 737NGX. These are the views we’ll be using in our training, so if you have EZCA, we strongly encourage you to install them.

I was wondering if anyone else had this problem. I installed EXCA with latest updates. When I load FSX, it takes forever to load then it will be minimized and all resources are being used and FSX will be very unstable. I looked at the task manager and EZCA is above FSX, is this correct? Has anyone else had this problem. I finally uninstalled ezca because of this problem. I am also going to post this in the most current pre-flightwork lesson.

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hello,
I configured ezca (v1.17) with the provided file but I get
positions too close from instruments all the time. For instance I can
only see partially the CDU from the predefined position (not all the
keyboard is accessible). I am at the 0.65 zoom ratio like in the video.
Any idea of what I should do to get the correct ezca position ?

Do you have wide screen enabled in Flight Simulator? That might be an issue.
      http://forum.avsim.net/topic/362653-widescreen-enable-in-fsxcfg/
      See if that works.

Hi Chris. It worked. Thank you !
I did not know this option of fsx.cfg, and I was living well without until now. Since it seems it be a requirement for people using a wide screen (the majority of people I guess) with the EZCA configuration you provide, it could be relevant to specify it in the video or maybe in the text of this section.

I’m glad it worked! That was just a wild guess.

Sorry to post yet another question issue with the EZDOK installation.. I’m loading up the Boeing 737-800NG, running Windows 7, FSX with sp2, EZDOK 1.17. I’m trying to load in the camera set ‘AOA_737NGX_EZCA’ downloaded from AoA.. but once I select it, it doesn’t seem to find the ‘cameras’ stating ‘Cameras: Not readed’ .. it then pretty much forces me to ctrl alt delete EZDOK as it doesn’t allow me to exit by pressing the close button… ran the EZCA.config as admin, found a world cam coordinate and ran the ‘configure fsx’ option.. (doesn’t seem to see the PMDG planes in the list once its run (as far as I can tell as I can’t scroll down list or expand it at all, nice).. Tried loading a standard FSX plane and loading the camera set in with the idea of exporting, but exactly the same message.. EZDOK itself seems to work fine as far as I can tell.. Any ideas?? Much appreciated (screen shots attached for some more info)

I had to remake all of these cameras :( . Zoom’s in too far and the captain/FO seats weren’t even showing the runway. Did I do something wrong here?

    • MikeP

Changing the ‘WideViewAspect’ option in my CFG, under the ‘Design’ section, to True fixed this.

Very good to know! Thank you!

Had another issue here. Inside camera’s are perfect but the outdoor cameras are all dead, completely out of sync and such. Any ideas on the outside camera’s?
