747 Training Sections
Systems
Systems Training is presented with an emphasis on Autoflight logic and FMS operation. This is extremely important because this is how this aircraft is primarily operated. Roughly an hour and a half is spent showing the many features of the FMC alone! And that’s just the start! But you’ll also learn a lot of other great information about the many systems of the aircraft. The importance of proper systems training cannot be stressed enough.

Procedures
Procedures are critical operations that deserve special attention. They mainly deal with the most dangerous parts of flying: Takeoffs and Landing.
Why are takeoffs and landings so dangerous? Because they happen in close proximity to the ground! This part of the training deals with the maneuvers that real pilots spend most of their time learning. Sure, it’s really easy to fly from one place to the other. But you can’t fly until you get these procedures down!
Takeoffs
Normal Takeoff Technique
Low Speed Abort
High Speed Abort
Takeoff Emergency with Fuel Dump and Holding

Non-Precision Approaches

Full Flight
To finish this training, we take you on a Full Flight from Preflight in San Francisco, USA through Shutdown in Frankfurt, Germany. This portion of the training will show many of the things not discussed earlier in the procedures, and will also show, in real time, advanced features of this aircraft.
