AOA MD11 Paint Shop

In preparation for the MD11 Training coming this week, you’ll need to get your MD11 in the paintshop to get AOA colors.

This is actually a very important step, as not doing so will give you an error when you load the flights provided with the training.

    Looking forward to the release however you did say only 600 members will be apart of this training, I’m assuming this is the 1st 600 to sign up?

      Correct. We are allowing 600 members inside. There are currently 600 spots available, because we haven’t released it yet. However, on launch day, the spots will go VERY quickly!

        I don’t know how some are getting the repaint of the AOA but I can’t get it. The link is not working and I’m getting the message that Internet Explorer Cannot Display the Page. What’s going on?

    I thought it was those who signed up on the MD11 page, I’m almost starting to get a little nervous :| But no it should be ok, I’L have to make sure I’m online for the most part of the day :P

      I don’t think there’s any reason to worry. One thing that might make you feel comfortable is that we have customers all over the world. That means that the ‘launch’ will be spread over many time zones.

      You’ll be alright. Just keep watching the countdown.

    Yeah, Chris, timezones are the one thing. But having time will be the other…
    Unfortunately I’ll be away from home and have a meeting when the countdown ends. Thus I’m getting slightly nervous, too, and I’ll check the singn-in as soon as I’ll be back from work. I don’t want to miss entering your MD11 training before 1st base just because of being late…
    But let’s hope for the best.

    Hi everybody,

    Yep, I’m now really nervous. I have chemo starting in about 30 minutes (Monday, 8:15 AM US Eastern Time) so I will probably be sleeping most of tomorrow. I’ll give it a try when I wake up. I’ll also keep my fingers and eyes crossed…oh wait, the eyes-crossed comes automatically. At least I have net access for the next six or so hours. Have fun, everyone!

      Like I told Christian, I’m starting to keep a short list of people like you that are showing concern for this. I certainly wouldn’t want to punish you for going to Chemo!

    I have got the repaint loaded and standing-by for departure :) . I enjoyed the previews of the MD-11 training. The level has increased from the 767 to 747 and now to the MD-11 in HD!

    I’ve said it it once already, and I’ll say it again..I am ABSOLUTELY PUMPED for the upcoming training in just over a day’s time! I’m confident I’ll make the cut of 600 ;-) As always, I can’t say enough for all you and your AOA team have done for our “Flight Sim” community. I wouldn’t have been able to install the AOA repaint without your assistance, and your practical way of teaching worked on me yet again. Thank You !

    Do I have to purchase the PMDG MD11F Aircraft to be able to use this training. I have most other aircraft, but not the MD11. Thanks.

      Hey Bill,
      We use the MD11F in the training because that is what is used most these days.

      With that said, if you have the MD11X (which in your comment below, it says you do) then you already have the MD11F!

      Unlike the 747 product from PMDG, the MD11 comes with BOTH.

      So you are all set.

      With that said, the procedures are so close to the same, if not exactly the same, that there is no worry.

    In my last comment I ask if I would need the PMDG MD11F because I see in your download reprint you say to click on PMDG_MD11F. I do have the MD11X but not the PMDG MD11F.
    I’m behind on the other training because I’m on the rood a lot. Hopefully I can catch up.

    Another question: you’re using the widescreen panel. I think it is possible to leave the “panel” entry empty to use the normal panel.
