Got it. That was fun. I had actually been doing just that at WN60 in a J-3 (NABlue is super!)

A2A Piper Cub?

No, Flight Replicas actually. I have the A2A but seldom fly it.

Hey Chris, that was your best episode in my opinion. Nice in depth details about short takeoffs and landings, and soft field takeoff and landings. Throttle on :) !!!!

Cheers

Could you include in the credits or with the video post any addons used, the ICAO identifiers, and your hardware specs? Beautiful video, and I’d love to get my flight sim looking like that. The dirt chunks thrown up behind the aircraft with and the camera shaking was a nice touch.

Meh, credits would make it longer. Wasted space. I can tell you on each episode what airports I’ve used though, maybe in the notes? Glad you enjoyed this episode. It was a lot of fun to do.

Yeah, it would be good so see that in the notes. Would be cool too if you give a shout out to an expansion you are using here and there. Some of us with default setups could really use some guidance on making what we fly look more like what you’re flying.

That’s true. Very good points. I’ll do what I can in the future to make sure we do this.

Thanks man! The encouragement helps more than you know. I really liked this episode a lot and, I feel now I can really get into how I feel about aviation. So, I’m excited for the rest of Aviator90. We aren’t quite half way, but almost!

Man, you really made me want to do some short/soft field work! Thanks for this lesson. It was nice to see Twin Oaks in a supporting role, too. ;-)

Chris this series is exceptional, and even tho I have my restircted license I am learning a ton. I am really looking forward to the next videos. It has given me the incentive to dust off my gear and really get stuck into doing some sim flying. Keep up the great work mate.

Rock on! May I ask how you got them on your iPhone? A lot of viewers have been asking how to do that, and although I know Vimeo does it I haven’t been able to point people in a definitive direction.

I use the latest RealPlayer SP that can be downloaded from their website for free. And when you have it everytime you watch flash video such as youtube or vimeo there will be a pop-up on the upper right corner of the screen saying “Download this video” and after the download theres an option for you to “copy to Apple Iphone” it will convert it and it will send it thru Itunes to Sync and thats it! hope that helps! Cheers!

Work has been in the way, but i am catching up.
My favorite part is the Short Field Landing, also the part I find the hardest. I tend to be a little high. I am going to blame Bill Womack for this because I practice out of Plum Island and there is a fence across part of the runway to the east that is tough to clear.
Thanks Chris, Yep Throttle ON,
Tom

Hehe. Yeah. Short fields are a little weird because you really have to hit the spot. No messing around!
