“Very helpful stuff …”
Hey just wanted to say thanks for all they very cool A90 lessons! Most of the basics I know but it’s great to get input and tutorials like this from a real world pilot. I went ahead and added the A90 photo and a link to the site on my blogs sidebar. Very helpful stuff and glad we have good people like you to help us out like this!

“Thanks for making it fun!”
Just wanted to say thanks to Chris- great idea and great product- I purchased the AOA for the PMDG 747 and am looking forward to learning all I can- Thanks for making it fun!
Tommy DiFranco
“I just wanted to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU…”
I just wanted to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to you and the entire AOA team for the Aviator 90 series of tutorials! If I could tell you how much I’ve learned in the first 20 episodes…things I had no idea about after neally 26 years of flight simming! For example, the “run-up” prior to take off….for whatever reason, it never occured to me that I should have the plane pointing into the wind matching takeoff heading..LOL..or adding flaps in turns..not that I constantly do, but I have in the past. Naturally, I could go on and on, but have to get back to work shortly..LOL

Hey There!
If you are serious about realism in flight simulator… flying like real pilots fly… applying those skills to successfully complete challenging flights… then this will be one of the most important things you’ll ever read for you career as a flight sim pilot.
This may seem like a steep learning curve to climb but the truth is that a great pilot is ALWAYS learning.
That’s where we can come in and assist you. Our video training proves to be powerful for people like us wanting to learn to fly. The truth is that flying is all hands on and visual. Who wants to read books anymore? That is the way things USED to be done.
Flight Simulation is more advanced than ever, so why not have cutting edge training to match?

You Can Be a Virtual Aviator- But you are at the controls, my friend!
Consider me to be the instructor on your right, teaching you all I know.
What could you do with this type of knowledge in your simulation?
Perhaps complete that pesky and difficult flight or procedure you can’t seem to wrap your head around? Maybe you’ve even ventured out onto the VAST internet before looking for an answer, only to be disappointed with misinformation and non-pilots trying to give you advice.
Maybe it’s as simple as sharpening the skills you already have from old flying experience or lots of flight simulator time.
Regardless, we’ve all gotten to that point…
A question comes up and we have nowhere to turn. Not confident with our own skills, we continue on flying even though we know we’re probably doing it wrong.
Here are some TOTALLY REDICULOUS myths about why flight training, and virtual flight training, is too hard:
- Only people with fat wallets and deep bank accounts can afford it
- It takes hours to flight plan a single simple flight
- Some of the maneuvers will make you lose your lunch or fill your shorts
- You have to be REALLY smart
- You must have the right answer ALL the time
- An aviator is perfect all the time
BULL HONKEY!
The days of yesteryear when a pilot could jump in his waiting aircraft and tear a hole in the sky are still alive!
What’s more is that we can do it in a virtual world and experience anything from the Pyramids in Egypt to Mt. Everest, and from New York, New York to Hollywood and everything in between… all in just a few minutes… and that’s just a start!
The world is truly at your fingertips
Certainly one of the greatest things about flight simulator is that we can experience the vast cultures and differences in the world, including weather, distance, planning, decision making and more as we circumnavigate the globe.
Aviators aren’t born great – Aviaton is something YOU can learn
It takes study, time… but it is also the FUNNEST thing you’ll ever do.
Far too many flight training options out there, both virtual and real world are BORING, and LONG and contain HUNDREDS of pages of manuals. NOT HERE!
If you’ve watched any of our free Aviator90 Series, you know that this is what we believe in here at Angle of Attack. It’s not about being perfect, it’s not about having all the right answers, it’s not even about knowing everything…
It’s about ALWAYS LEARNING
Although there is not another option out there in the flightsim community, we don’t take that as an excuse to be lazy. AviatorPro is unique in what it does for the flight simulation community. There is nothing else like it.
But, don’t take our word for it.
Here are a few things others said about our Aviator90 series, which is the free prequel to AviatorPro.
“You add a whole new perspective to Flight simulation”
BTW, thank you for your excellent work, I’m still going through Aviator90, but I’ve been a customer with the Level-D 767 Training video from a couple years back, and I enjoy your work a lot.
You add a whole new perspective to Flight simulation that has been missing before. I’ve always tried to bring real life procedures to FS, as I find it makes the whole experience a lot more enjoyable. Even with my measly 9 hours on a C172, I can apply a lot of your training to FS to help me better understand various procedures, in the hope that one day, I’ll be able to go back and finish my PPL.
Etienne Bouchard
“Thank you very much for your effort”
Thank you very much for your effort. It will be very useful to people like me to really enjoy FSX with a better knowledge of what is going on!
Thanks again.
Jose Luis
“Very clear and simply explained”
Chris,
Very clear and simply explained. I look forward to your other lessons, being an retired pilot, always interesting to renew knowledge.

Discover the inside secrets only real pilots learn from many hours of cross country flight experience
So you’ve heard me go on about how experience is so important. But why does it really matter?
Here’s a quick story-problem for you to try and figure out
Say you are on a GPS Direct Route, IFR, in IMC and headed toward your destination. BUT you start to build Ice on the aircraft, and you are in danger of losing your lift and putting all of the passengers in danger on your flight. The temperature outside is -6C and you are flying at 16K feet. The terrain in the area won’t allow you to descend, at least on a GPS Direct Route. What do you do now?
Now, this may be a very CONFUSING problem, and the truth is that there are many possible right answers, some better than others, and all with their different consequences.
Even some of the terms, like IFR, IMC, etc may have been confusing to you.
This problem IS NOT meant to make you feel stupid or small, because even I have been in a place where I didn’t know this stuff, and I certainly still have a lot to learn.
The point is that WE ALL START SOMEWHERE and we have to learn this aviation stuff bit-by-bit, flight-by-flight.
Sound overwhelming?
It is if you look at the big picture, but learning ANYTHING with the big picture is difficult.
Just think what would have happened when you were first in school learning to write the letters of the alphabet and the teacher asked you to write an essay or thesis!
First you’d probably ask what an essay and thesis was, and then you’d go about trying to scribble off a lower case and upper case “A”.
Can you imagine how horribly that would fail?!
Thankfully we understand that here at Angle of Attack and we structure all of our lessons and all of our courses knowing that we must start with simple language, build up, and continue to add things in a practical way.
Instead of getting dragged through all the mundane lessons and then having to go out and learn how things REALLY are, you would learn more just by not only knowing all the important ‘book stuff’ but also the practical and REAL side of flight.
A manual will not make the decisions – an Aviator will

Become the Aviator You Always Wanted To Be
I started flight training about the same time that I started getting into flight simulation very seriously. This was in 2003, which makes for a much shorter flight sim career than many.
Immediately I noticed that there was a ton of benefit between flying in the simulator and then going and flying real world. There is much to be learned from both, and without the other, the experience just isn’t as rich.
The truth is, I LOVE flying and I have my whole life. I’ve been blessed enough to build hundreds of flight hours, seeing much of the United States.

I‘ve been in many situations that nothing in the books taught me about. The way out of these situations isn’t about getting a checklist or calling up a pilot buddy; no time for that!
As an aviator I’ve had to develop a thought process through trial and error (without HUGE errors like incidents or accidents) that has safely gotten me through the skies.
Most of the things I’ve learned can be translated right over to Flight Simulator and taught in a safe environment.

The truth is, I am just like you.
I love flying, love flight simulator, and I choose to share that passion through teaching YOU what I know.
I wasn’t always a great aviator, and I still do not consider myself to be great. I believe that humble and honest aviators are the ones to operate the safest and make the best decisions.
There was a time I didn’t know how any of it worked.
Now I can operate an aircraft in IFR conditions with confidence in my skills. It is a completely achievable goal!
“These are some great videos!”
These are some great videos! I am starting real life lessons in a week and I can see this helping a little! Great Job! Great Sim also!

Let me show you how I fly safely… and how that can be done in flight simulator just the same
If you’ve been looking for that extra nudge of realism in your simulation, you probably aren’t going to find it with new, expensive hardware. You’ll find these skills buried within yourself. Through AviatorPro I will bring these skills to the forefront of your simming, including:

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: That is a TON of information inside AviatorPro! Will you charge me as much as a real flight school would?
A: Believe it or not, EVERYTHING inside AviatorPro is available to any flight simmer out there for only $19 per month. This price will rise soon, but this is our special introductory price.
Q: I’ve been duped by membership sites before that had a little new content, all of which was old. Do you update regularly?
A: It’s a total bummer that there are people out there just wanting to make a quick buck. Sorry if that’s ever happened to you, as I know it’s happened to me!
As soon as you login to your AviatorPro Dashboard for the first time, you’ll have access to content that’ll keep you busy for a LONG time. There is plenty of content to turn your brain to mush for a month, but that just wouldn’t be enough, would it?
You see, I’m a huge believer that you, the “Virtual Aviator Trainee” should have some input on what we produce and teach. I don’t pretend to know all your needs.
So, not only will you have access to all of the preloaded course material, but you will also get weekly updates (yes, weekly) that will keep your skills share at all times. This is stuff you’ll get to vote on and choose YOURSELF.
In other words, there’s a GREAT chance you’ll never get bored.
Q: How long will it take me to get through AviatorPro?
A: There is a LOT of material to cover, but you’ll see results quickly. We are all about teaching the practical side of things here at Angle of Attack. In other words, we don’t just talk about theory. We like to put things into practice.
If you are just starting out and you haven’t gone through Aviator90 yet (very important for the basics of virtual flying) then you should be able to get through the Aviator90 plus a bit of the advanced AviatorPro stuff in the first month.
That would be at about a pace of a video per day. Some videos are longer than others, some have actual challenges, so it depends on the video or lesson.
But, you can go at your own pace. We realize you may have a busy schedule, or perhaps NO schedule where you can just watch all the videos in a day (impossible, btw, unless a day is now over 100 hours). It’s totally up to you.
Q: What if I want to try this AviatorPro thing out… are you going to lock me in for life and take me prisoner?
A: Uhhhh, no! I realize that you have worked hard for your cash. When you pay for a month, you get a month. It’s as simple as that. I don’t lock you in long term contract, like a cell phone, and big surprise, there’s no cancellation penalty! How’s that for a change?
In other words, we’d love you to stay around as long as you’d like. We will always keep things fresh and new. But if your budget gets tight and you need to go away for a while, or forever (sad face) then you are welcome to go on your way.
We’re in your corner on this one. We like to keep things simple and predictable with no surprises.
Get everything in one place, saving time… or go search for bits and pieces, taking A LOT of time
There are a lot of sources out there to get free information about flying and flight simulator. It’s just like any other hobby where there are hundreds of sites with information.
I’m sure you’ve noticed that there are only bits-and-pieces of reliable information, and very little information from actual pilots.
Compare that to what AviatorPro does, and you get an affordable option that is more than worth ALL the time spent searching for the ‘right’ information.
Personally, I’d MUCH rather just find everything in one place and be done with it.
The great thing is that you can start with Aviator90 and gets a lot of the basics down, and in the meantime hit the advanced stuff with AviatorPro.
That is why it’s called AviatorPro. There are very few flight simmers out there that have spent the time to go searching all the different sources to get a complete picture.
If you get trained through video (RARELY TAUGHT THIS WAY) then you will be WAY ahead other flight simmers. You’ll be a Pro.
“It helps a lot to see it from more than one point of view!”
I enjoyed how much you used Flight Sim in here and how you explained everything so thoroughly. I already knew most of this but it helps a lot to see it from more than one point of view!

Get an ‘Add-On’ that keeps giving back for every aircraft you purchase, and every experience you have in flight simulator

Add-on’s come and go. If you’re anything like me, you add many new aircraft to your hangar each year. Then, when a new simulator comes along, we have to get rid of a lot of those aircraft.
Knowledge like what is taught in AviatorPro doesn’t simply leave with a new simulator version. It’s compatible with every add-on you have, and every version of flight simulator.
It is perhaps the only flight sim purchase you can get that gives back time-and-time again, no matter where you’re flying – no matter what you’re flying.
So here it is…
You can get 100% complete and total access to everything AviatorPro has to offer with all the tools, resources and training material for only… $19 per month.
- ALL of the Instrument Training Courses… in many different formats like video, audio and text tutorials.
- ALL of the SID, STAR and Approach Plate Training… which shows you all the details of these complex charts for instrument flight.
- ALL of the Weather Diagnosis Training… to make you knowledgeable about the environment around you at all times.
- ALL of the Decision Making Training… so you can keep cool when under pressure and operate the aircraft with safety and precision.
- ALL of the Communication Training… that’ll teach you to communicate with ATC like a Pro.
- ALL of the Cross Country Training… giving you practical tips for going from point A to point B.
- ALL of the Audio Training… so you can take some of the lessons on the go.
- ALL of our New Weekly Content… including a new tutorial, podcast and cross country flight.
- 1 NEW Video Lesson EACH WEEK … that will follow a specific lesson plan designed to build you up (more if time permits).
- 1 NEW Podcast EACH WEEK… to take some lessons on the go or while you’re flight simming.
- 1 NEW Cross Country Flight EACH WEEK… because this is absolutely the best way to teach how to fly correctly.
- Imagine having confidence to safely and effectively operate any aircraft you fly in flight simulator…
- Imagine having sharp skills to operate in the clouds and pull of difficult instrument approaches…
- Imagine all the knowledge you can then share with others through various FS communities…
- Imagine having the know-how to do complex cross country flights, with heavy ATC communication…
- Imagine just how awesome it’ll be to have the answers to all of those long lost questions…
AND!
PLUS- we don’t hold you down to any long term commitments which means you can cancel anytime. If you don’t think you’re squeezing every last drop of value out of your membership, you’re free to go at any time.
We believe in giving way more than the value of what we’re charging, which is why you get everything for one ridiculously low price. As you’ve seen with Aviator90 and other material so far, we like to ‘wow’ you time-and-time again. AviatorPro is even better than all the freebies you’ve already gotten.
Totally worth the hard earned cash each month.
So even if you’re still guessing whether all of the great aviator training within AviatorPro is worth it, you really owe it to yourself to at least give it a shot…
A lot of pilots are rolling into real flight training at a whopping $50,000 price tag. I’m not claiming you’ll get what they get, but with flight simulator you’ll certainly get the equivalent. Endless content and lessons to make you a better aviator.
Try AviatorPro with a 100% RISK-FREE 30 Day Money Back Guarantee
I said it before- my goal is to teach you how to be a better Aviator.
The only way I can help you get where you want to be as a flight simmer and virtual aviator is to have you sign up for AviatorPro right away.
It’s the only way you’ll get access to all of our content that is proven to make you confident and in control during your flights.
Breathe easy knowing you can access all of this content RIGHT NOW at no risk at all.
I’m not going to hassle you around about it. It’s a super deal.
That’s how we roll here at Angle of Attack.
“I’ve been flying FS for years and never thought of it in these terms”
I really liked the explanation around changing the camber of the wing or creating drag changed the lift element of the surfaces causing a change in flight path. I don’t think I’ve ever heard it explained like that. I’ve been flying FS for years and never thought of it in these terms.
Jason Fiset
Finally, Be the Virtual Aviator You’ve Always Dreamed!
That sounds awesome, doesn’t it?
I can sit here and tell you what it would be like, but you won’t truly know until you give it a shot yourself.
I’m ready to assist you to get there! Everything is all setup and ready to go in an easily understandable format. So, just follow in order and you’re all set! Easy?
This is for real.
I know that learning a TON about flying seems like it’s too difficult to achieve, but thousands of people get pilots licenses every day. I’m not saying I’m going to hand you your wings, but you can certainly learn the material!
You’ve seen Aviator90, you know what we’re capable of.
Just imagine now what we can do with AviatorPro! It’s going to be an incredible course and we can’t wait to have you on board.
The truth is we know you’ll be so pumped about our course that you’ll invite us to your birthday party or make me the Godfather of your children. Ok, maybe not THAT far, but this will change your flightsim experience FOREVER!

These $19 AviatorPro Memberships are Available for a Limited Time
Why? As content builds up in AviatorPro the initial offering will be much larger. But, for now, you can lock in the stupidly low price of $19 per month, for life.
Even at a much higher monthly price, it would still be ridiculously low.
It’s really easy to justify dropping a load of money on some new airplanes that you’ll probably fly a couple times and then hangar. But something that gives back like this? That’s just smart.
For real, even if you just canceled the membership quickly you’d still totally get your money’s worth from something you can’t find anywhere else. Of course, that doesn’t sound like a good plan to us, but we’re confident in our product.
So, get your membership right now…
Yes, Chris. I’m TOTALLY ready to start AviatorPro today so you can show me how to be a complete Virtual Aviator. Give me confidence in the clouds, teach me all I need to know about ATC communication, tell me your experiences and show me how to do complete cross country flights… with no commitment, no hassles, and all for just $19!

“What an amazing episode yet again, there is nothing in this video you didn’t include!”
What an amazing episode yet again, there is nothing in this video you didn’t include! I have so say so far Aviator 90 has been awesome & I like it alot.
I like how you broke the cockpit down and explained each and every instrument. Id like to know however , which aircraft is this and is it a payware addon? I the simplistic way in which the cockpit is set out as as for the scenery , its fantastic. Love that BP petrol Station =]
Looking forward to the next Ground Operations Video.

“Wow, this series is fantastic!”
Wow, this series is fantastic! Flight simming enjoys a sharing and enthusiastic community and this series is indicative of that Chris. This series compliments the AOA DVDs perfectly as so many of these principles are taken for granted when “flying the glass” that when things happen not according to plan some simmers clamber to recall then catch up. Looking so forward to the next installment.
Throttle On!

“Thank You for sharing your passion and knowledge with all.”
Thanks Chris!
I am recommending Aviator 90 to as many simmers as possible. I hope that it continues to benefit all who participate. Thank You for sharing your passion and knowledge with all.

“Reminded me clearly of the time I spent in real-world training”
Now we’re getting to the good stuff. Watching this vid reminded me clearly of the time I spent in real-world training. One of the first major milestones was learning to talk on the radio. Man, the first couple of times I made the calls correctly and got the usual glib tower response, I was feeling like a stud! Thanks for reminding me about run-ups, too. Many times, I skip that step in virtual flight, but it’s a good habit to get into and stay into, even when you know there are no repercussions in the sim. Good habits are just good habits, you know?
Bill Womack
“Great job Chris! Keep it up!”
Amazing job Chris. I look forward to each and every one of these. I myself know most of what is being taught, but it is a fantastic review. On the other hand, I have a friend who just got into Flight Sim, and, when a new one of these comes out, I post the link to him and watches. They help him a lot, and he enjoys them too. He says they are “well-made and professional”. Great job Chris! Keep it up!

“Coming closer to “As Real As It…..””
Nice stuff Chris. Not being a real world pilot and even with 30 yrs of Flight Sim, I never thought about cocking into the wind for a run up. Coming closer to “As Real As It…..”
Thank you
Tom
“I had never thought about requesting a runway based on ATIS”
Previously, I had only established radio contact on the ground and then proceeded to the indicated runway. I had never thought about requesting a runway based on ATIS and wind direction before. Also, previously my run-up only consisted of turning the engine on.

“The level of content and detail put into these episodes is extremely professional and top notch”
Dear Chris (Angle of Attack),
I’ve been watching y’alls videos on Aviator 90 since the beginning and I must say that while all have been absolutely amazing, it never really hit me until this one that this is a breathtaking and outstanding experience we all get to experience for free. The level of content and detail put into these episodes is extremely professional and top notch. I came away from this episode feeling almost stunned at what I had seen. Not in a bad way, rather, just because I feel this is a level of expertise rarely ever seen in the flight simulator world. To me… Aviator 90 is the best add-on I’ll ever have.
From and extremely grateful and appreciative flight simmer

“You’ve taken flight simulation to new heights and added a touch of class!”
Congrats Chris, you are blazing a HD trail in flight training that surpasses excellent! “You are an effective communicator Chris and you make it seem so easy :>)”
Wow! It never ceases to amaze me the seemingly small yet important details which come to light with a good, clear and concise review. You are an effective communicator Chris and you make it seem so easy :>) Calling “clear final” just prior to entering the runway, I heard it so often during my days in the Navy, but never once in flight simming online. My real world experience in the flight station of P-3s and cockpits of experimentals flying out of a friend’s airpark did not expose me to some of what you demonstrated as applies to GA ops with non-controlled traffic, for instance the airpark was strictly VFR and I can’t recall once using the radio unless we were leaving the area usually to some controlled altitude or airspace for purpose of navigation or testing. Sometimes calling the field to check if lunch was ready. LOL I am truly enjoying this series. Another Outstanding video! Thank You.

“Round of applause to you Chris & the team at AoA”
I just wanted to give a big round of applause to you Chris & the team at AoA So many company’s in the flightsim community and aviation community for that matter just care about the bare essentials of just getting the product out there and then don’t bother about the follow up and response of the customer. Its great to see such a tight knit community such as AoA striving for the absolute best. In regards to the MD-11, i myself don’t own it as yet but just like Andrew said above i’m very keen to buy both products at once. So in saying this again i say Well Done team, i must feel good to know your efforts are showing their fruit!

“The fact that you care enough to pay attention to details is why I’m a customer”
Chris thanks for taking the time to make these videos. The fact that you care enough to pay attention to details is why I’m a customer. I have the 767 and 747 training dvds and will be buying the MD11. Thanks again Chris.

“Even me, an experienced 3000-hour FS-pilot…”
These videos are great in explaining the most basic which flight simulator users often don’t takes into account when they first step into their 737. Even me, who are an experienced 3000-hour FS-pilot and a training advisor on IVAO, have learned something new. Thanks Chris!

“Thank you very much for your magnificent work”
Hello Chris. It’s a fantastic job what you are doing. I have watched with great satisfaction to all the episodes and I can say that although I already had about 2,500 flight hours, I’ve seen every episode like it was my first flight lesson. They are very well prepared, easy to understand, and very professional staff. This all makes me wait for a new one with great curiosity. I think I can speak for the whole community of Flight Simulator, when I say: Thank you very much for your magnificent work.
