« on: July 03, 2010, 07:44:21 AM »
Hi there,

I got my PMDG 747-400X but I have some I ssues, and they are:

1- "flaps" I know the flaps work, and I can feel them goind down and up, but I can not see them feom outside the plane.
2- "The threst" also same like the flaps I know it is working but I can not see it going up or down too.

IS IT THE THEME OR THE SCANERY OR WHAT, AND HOW I CAN MAKE THEM WORK??

Hiya, would it be possible for you to post some more info/ screenshots about your issue, as I'm not sure I understand what your problem is?? :)
I assume you mean that you are moving the flaps, but they are not extending/retracting? Is this correct?
I dont understand at all what your second issue is, so please could you elaborate?

Yes, the flaps from outsidr the plane. What I mean is when i sit the flaps to 20 or 30 and i want to see it from the out side view with the airplane I dont see anything coming down. Also the spoiler what i mean is after the gear thooch down on the rnway. The spoiler should be up by pressing "/" key  or auto to slow down the speed also that I can not see it too. why???

With the flaps, is there an actual flap indication on the upper EICAS screen? The flaps need hydraulic power so is the aircraft's hydraulic systems on, and the alternate flap off e.g all hydraulic pumps on and electric buses powered? With the spoilers, you can arm them in the approach by pressing 'shift' & '/', theese should deploy on touchdown provided your thrust levers are FULLY idle, i.e the levers must be fully back! With the flaps also, they do take a long time to actually come down so it might be that, or you have some sort of issue with your PMDG addon in which case you should go to the PMDG website for support. :)

Hello:

This will fix your issue--In FSX, you will see a setting that says "advanced animations." If this is not checked, you will not see the flaps or spoilers deploy. I know, because when I had to reinstall FSX, I forgot to check this setting.

In settings, click on the "graphics" tab. In the Global Options section on the right-hand side, you will see the settings for "advanced animations." Click in the check box to activate.

Hope this helps.

Yeah, you want to make sure the 'Advanced Automations' option is checked.

The propeller is just a big fan in front of the plane used to keep the pilot cool. When it stops, you can actually watch the pilot start sweating.
