Do you recognize this man? —–>

If not, you should. He’s the perfect example of what a great aviator is. This guy is Captain Sullenberger or ‘Sully’, who piloting a ‘dead bird’ A320 to a safe ditched landing in the Hudson River, right next to New York City, after ingesting canadian geese in the engines.

This is a very rare situation but one pilots are trained for.

What they really can’t train for is how they handle themselves in these situations. Regardless of all the training, an aviators true colors show when it matters most. For Captain Sully and his crew, it saved the lives of all onboard in an event now known as the Hudson River Miracle.

Below is a fictional, humorous and awesome approach chart made by Jeppesen. Jeppesen saw it fit to use their chart making skills for a bit of a cool chart.
